If facing the paper, your thought is 'I am an artist', you have no clue what to do. If the concepts of your function are, 'I am a shape maker, an entertainer, an expressive symbol collector'...then you have an explicit road map. Edgar Whitney

child's play
as snake
beautiful but blue
as snow
remembered but black
as human
innocent but almost
born inside
a monster
a child
a bird
a cry of wings
Thank you Mariana :) I am studying at Hagley this year, so I am not participating in napowrimo. It was such fun last year. Hopefully I'll have time to participate next year.
I made the drawing at the head of my poetry page whilst on holiday in the very beautiful Okains Bay, located on the Banks Peninsula, south island, New Zealand. I love to draw subjects that have rhythm and movement. This drawing is now in the United Kingdom, a gift to an artist friend. A poem celebrating this drawing can be found on The Semaphore Anthology
Hello Marisa, I miss reading your poems this Napowrimo! Hope all is well with you and your whanau in Christchurch.
