If facing the paper, your thought is 'I am an artist', you have no clue what to do. If the concepts of your function are, 'I am a shape maker, an entertainer, an expressive symbol collector'...then you have an explicit road map. Edgar Whitney

29 and 30 April
Sitting down to blog my last two poems only to discover...I've left my manuscript at school. Well that's an anticlimax. I guess it will be Monday before I can show them.
I can't tell you how mad I am at myself, I never leave my manuscript anywhere, it's usually grafted on to me. I had the best time in April and it confirmed that I love what I do and don't have any intention of stopping anytime soon.
I made the drawing at the head of my poetry page whilst on holiday in the very beautiful Okains Bay, located on the Banks Peninsula, south island, New Zealand. I love to draw subjects that have rhythm and movement. This drawing is now in the United Kingdom, a gift to an artist friend. A poem celebrating this drawing can be found on The Semaphore Anthology
Excuses, excuses! ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt's been fun watching you work your way through this month. And you've written some cracking poems.
How do you feel? Pleased? Drained? Both?
